Fluid jrb # emerge gimp -vp

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild U ] media-gfx/gimp-2.2.11-r1 [2.2.10] USE="gimpprint gtkhtml jpeg mmx png python sse svg -aalib -debug -doc -hardened -lcms -mng -smp -tiff -wmf" 0 kB

Fluid jrb # emerge libpng -vp

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

[ebuild   R   ] media-libs/libpng-1.2.10  USE="-doc" 0 kB

Results in a failure to compile around when GIMP tries to compile the "maze" plugin

Try without -ftree-vectorize; also we need the preprocessed output.
Comment 3 jon R-B 2006-06-17 03:13:20 UTC
Will re-try without -ftree-vectorize in a min but here is the pre-proccessed output/file

--EDIT--
err cannot attach the file it is 1.1Meg and the limit is 1Meg

here it is

unable to reproduce here ...

i'd suggest you:
 - sync up
 - re-emerge gcc-4.1.1 with CFLAGS="-pipe"
 - see if gimp builds
Comment 5 jon R-B 2006-06-18 06:23:01 UTC
ok I tried to re-compile gimp and got the same error

I re-emerged GCC with:
CFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium4 -pipe"

and then put my CFLAGS back to
CFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium4 -fforce-addr -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -ftree-vectorize -mmmx -msse"

and now GIMP compiles.
So does that mean it is a gcc problem or a gimp problem with those CFLAGS?
