Hi, I was installing Gentoo Linux 2006 on another PC and ran into this error about half way through install. 

There was an Exception received during the install that is outside of the normal install errors. This is a bad thing. The error was: BootLoaderError :FATAL: install_bootloader: Don't know how to configure this bootloader:
Please submit a bug report (after searching to make sure it's not a known issue and that you didnt do anything stupid) with the contents of /var/log/install.log and /tmp/installprofile.xml and the version of the installer you used.

I was not able to retrieve these files, but I did search sveral times looking for this error. Mabe it is somthing that I did, but I do not know.

There are multiple causes for this error, many of which have been fixed in CVS. Without more info, there's nothing we can do.
