Here we go: I upgraded from xorg-server-1.0.2-r3 to 1.0.99.2, rebooted, started xorg with startx. Ran a bunch of programs i usually do and suddenly, the screen went static. I could only move the cursor. Not even the kernel SysRq shortcuts worked. So i hard rebooted, fs-checked my partitions. Backed up the log file of xorg, and ran startx again from my user. Everything seemed to work perfectly for about 30 seconds, then, suddenly the screen went all black! The led on my CRT started blinking and i got no response from using the keyboard (yet again, not even SysRq worked). Hard reboot, fsck, check xorg's logs - no errors logged at the end of the log. I think i can reproduce the screen going black. I have a cheap Club3D Radeon 9200 SE graphics card.
