New ebuild for the gtk frontend to setpwc which is a tool to control settings for philips cameras. Depends on perl-gtk and setpwc which is in portage. It's a perl script (the magic is in setpwc and the kernel module) so it shouldn't cause too much mayhem - so I did only a litle testing but it seems to do what it's supposed to. Please note the author chose a licence which is not currently in portages list of supported licenses. A brief skimming seems it's pretty RMS-compliant but IANAL: http://gtksetpwc.spider-serv.net/files/LICENCE.EN

Just a small comment on the license, it is definitely RMS-compliant, as explained on the FSF site: http://www.fsf.org/licensing/licenses/index_html#GPLCompatibleLicenses
Created attachment 116468 [details] gtksetpwc-0.2.ebuild SRC_URI changed so I revisited this and did a few cleanups.
(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) 'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached to this bug. This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the main tree. Heuristics show that no Gentoo developer has commented on your ebuild. Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy. I suppose this bug is now obsolete wrt bug 363469.
(In reply to comment #5) > I suppose this bug is now obsolete wrt bug 363469. And reopening. I'm not sure if this still works with setpwc-1.3, but leaving it for others to figure out.
Closing as obsolete. It depends on gtk2-perl which is not in the tree any more.
