Description Chad Huneycutt (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-03-16 00:33:53 UTC
Well, I tried a few different things, and /usr/local/bin/linux always exits
quickly with a "Segmentation fault".

This is 2.4.18-r1. Are there any special gotchas that aren't mentioned in the
guide. The only changes I made to the default kernel config were to add modular
ext3 support and remove load devfs at boot time, and added Virtual memory support.

I did do the ARCH=um, but no luck. I will try recreating my file systems next,
but if you have any hints, I would appreciate it.

I think we can close this one.
Comment 2 Chad Huneycutt (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-10-23 18:15:17 UTC
Yeah, we can close it. I will try uml again some time and see if the current
incarnation works.
