Hello, here is an ebuild for an application i wrote. netswitch is a network profiles manager that aims to be independant of the distribution. I suggest to put it under app-admin/netswitch. But you decide ;) (The website is not available for the moment (thursday 1st december, noon), but will be soon.
Created attachment 73880 [details] netswitch ebuild At that time, the 'gtk2' use is mandatory (more uses will come in the future)
gtk2 use flag is deprecated (see Bug 106560), also if it's not optional, any use flag does not make sense. Please remove it from the ebuild.
Created attachment 73884 [details] New ebuild (without gtk2)
The site is now available... I just wait to see the ebuild in portage tree
Now the application is at version 0.3.1 Should I create a new bug ? wait for this one to be "solved" ? Or just leave Gentoo, and use a distribution that accept my packages ? I come to gentoo thinking It was a distro where a large choice of packages can be found. Since I use it vbetool, speedfreq packages died, and netswitch can't be used ... Sorry, but I'm really disappointed :(
- the gtk2 ue flag is dead, there's only gtk - do DEPEND=... instead RDEPEND and DEPEND="${RDEPEND}" is superfluous - that gtk is optional is neither reflected in the dependencies nor in src_compile - src_unpack() is superfluous
New release is available: http://netswitch.tuxfamily.org/files/gnetswitch-0.3.99beta1.tar.gz Also, it depends of libnetswitch.
Looks like upstream has disappeared.
