looks like overheat to me. There are too many errors. what if you run the single application from command line?

1 emerge memtest86 or memtest86+ run them and check is all fine. then try something like ffmpeg -i something.mpeg -vcodec mpeg4 -o something.nut or just unpack the ffmpeg sources ./configure && make test
No problems with the memory according to memtest86+.
