Description Peter Hyman 2005-11-05 15:13:30 UTC
epplets-0.7-r1 has hard coded directories both in the ebuild and in the epplet
source that breaks when user runs e >=0.16.8. This ebuild and included patch
file fixes epplets so that it runs with the latest e (does not apply to 0.17). I
know this is almost legacy stuff, but it has been bothering me. To maintainer, I
would recommend leaving it permanently as ~x86 since it WILL conflict with
epplets-0.7* and won't work for users who are using e16.7.x. Only tested on x86,
but please add other platforms when tried. (if anyone still uses these!). HTH

additional patch for e16.8

needed to correct hard coding errors in some epplet files and especially the
epplet api.

Actually, I just looked at the cvs version of epplets, 0.8, and it contains
patches and will work with either e 0.16.7x or 0.16.8x. In addition, cvs
contains small code to allow one epplet to work with kernels 2.6x. Maintainer
may wish to consider adding an epplets-0.8.9999.ebuild which would pull cvs just
like enlightenment-0.16.9999 does. It would make the ebuild I submitted unnecessary.

5 months no action. I'm not a dev, so can't fix.
