Description Jonathan Disher 2005-10-24 18:24:49 UTC
Genkernel (3.3.6) building vanilla stock kernel (2.4.28) builds a kernel and
initrd that do not boot unattended. It appears that the initrd fails to start
devfsd on startup, resulting in missing /dev symlinks, and an inability to find
/dev/hda3 (the root device).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. genkernel --install all
2. reboot

Actual Results:
System hangs on boot, unable to find /dev/hda3

Expected Results:
boot cleanly
