When I choose Netplay->Internet in the zsnes Menu, it crashes with: Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed) This happened to me both on an Athlon with a Geforce and on my Pentium 4 Laptop which has an ATI Radeon Mobility. My versions are: zsnes 1.36 libsdl 1.2.5 What could be the cause of this?
try running this: strace -s 4096 zsnes >& zsneslog and then making it crash ...
Created attachment 5919 [details] zsnes strace log I've attached the output of $strace -s 4096 zsnes >& zsneslog!
Just to clairify...it's not when you try to connect to a server, right? It's when you click the Internet item under the "Netplay" menu item on startup screen menu bar. This works for me. I didn't try connecting to a server because I don't know of one off hand. If you get a crash when connecting to a specific server, ie, a crash when clicking on "Connect to server" let me know what server you're trying to connect to so I can try it here. Also, please post the output of emerge info as the bug submission form asks you to do. Thanks.
Well, I can't reproduce this at all so I'm closing. Daniel - go ahead and reopen if you still have a problem.
i've been getting this also for quite a while with zsnes on gentoo. even on 1.40 and i've tried the binary for zophar.net for 1.41.
