gSTM, short for Gnome SSH Tunnel Manager, is a graphical front-end for managing ssh tunneled portredirects. There doesn't seem to be an ebuild for gSTM, so I've cooked one up (to be attached). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Created attachment 70922 [details] gstm-0.3.ebuild I placed this ebuild in the net-misc category.
Created attachment 70923 [details] gstm-0.3.desktop Fixes desktop file shipped with gstm.
- Please use make DESTDIR=${D} install instead einstall, when possible.
Created attachment 70949 [details] Updated gstm-0.3.ebuild Thanks - the ebuild now uses make DESTDIR=${D} install instead of einstall...
Created attachment 92705 [details] gstm-1.0.ebuild An ebuild for gstm 1.0. Seems to work fine except the menu entry throws the following error when clicked: Error with displaying error for dialog of class cannot_load_entry I start the program from the command line instead and it seems to work fine.
Created attachment 93876 [details] gnome-extra/gstm-1.2 Version bump to 1.2 Added ~amd64 keyword - compiles and runs fine on amd64

Sort of old.. but I've test this package on x86 with dep versions, and it all works as expected. Any chance of this making it into portage? [ebuild R ] x11-libs/gtk+-2.10.11 [ebuild R ] gnome-base/libgnomeui-2.16.1 [ebuild R ] dev-libs/libxml2-2.6.27 [ebuild R ] dev-libs/openssl-0.9.8 $ uname -a Linux localhost 2.6.20-viper6 #1 SMP Tue Mar 27 19:27:48 EDT 2007 i686 Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo CPU T2700 @ 2.33GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux $ gcc --version gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20070214 ( (gdc 0.23, using dmd 1.007)) (Gentoo 4.1.2)
It looks like kinda old, but the attached ebuild works perfectly for me (on x86). Why it couldn't be in the main portage tree? I have to work with a lot of different SSH tunnels, I think there is other people who would find this utility useful.
Up?
(In reply to comment #10) > Up? > Up what? No, don't tell me... Seriously though I use GSTM almost every day at work, old and unmaintained as it seems to be, so it definitely gets the Thumbs Up from me. The website no longer has any content, but files can be downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/projects/gstm/files/
