Description Mark Bolusmjak 2002-01-09 17:46:51 UTC
1. The version of dircolors running on my Slackware box has a -z switch for zsh
compatability. The Gentoo version does not.

2. Referring to manpages, and other DIR_COLORS files I have created in the past,
I can not get dircolors with ls --color to work properly. Specifically, files
with known extensions are not colored, while file types are. i.e. A directory,
plain file, symbolic link are all colored as they should be, but .tgz, .gif,
etc... are not.
This problem is not repeatable on Slackware 8.0 where dircolors and ls --color
behave as I would expect.

Updated dircolors with a patch from Slackware, along with the manpage. This
version (still by the original author it seems), need /etc/DIR_COLORS, so
added this with a version from mandrake (only one I had ;-)... colors seems
to be the standard ones, so this should not be a problem
