launching alsaconf detect all modules but the choice of module which is not legacy fail because dialog send the menu choice on the error output channel ! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. launch alsaconf 2. choose a choice in the menu which is not legacy 3. Actual Results: All the procedure fail because the module cannot be found Expected Results: Install, load and configure the good module
Created an attachment (id=61450) [details] Resolve the problem by redirecting the menu choice to 3rd channel Resolve the problem on my machine, but not tested on others

Same problem on my machine and the fix in comment #1 (attachment 61450 [details] - although i did it manually, not with patch) worked. Could this patch be included in the next release of alsa-utils ? or could the problem be investigated to see whether that's necessary?
Sorry for the delay, it's fixed now in alsa-utils-1.0.11_rc5-r1.
