Description:   Opened: 2005-05-17 19:39 0000
I emerged gimp and then emerged xsane & co later.

File > Acquire > xscanimage did not exist

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge gimp
2. emerge sane-backends sane-frontends xsane
3. (or reverse the order and things work as expected)

Actual Results:
I had to manually link xscanimage to the gimp plugin directory.

IMHO, since gimp needs sane-frontends to be installed before it is installed
(for fully automatic detection), then if USE="scanner" is set, sane-frontends
should be a dependency.

Expected Results:
when I emerged GIMP, since USE="scanner", sane-frontends should have been
installed first

------- Comment #1 From John N. Laliberte (RETIRED) 2005-05-23 18:12:30 0000 -------
I'm closing 9 bugs at once, since these bugs should be fixed in my 2.2.7 ebuild
of the gimp. ( just committed to the unstable tree ) If you find that your bug
was not fixed in the 2.2.7 ebuild, please open a new bug with what it is or is
not still doing.

Thanks for the attachments and comment, they helped!
