Description:   Opened: 2002-10-07 09:24 0000
I've build both abiword and gnumeric using:

emerge abiword
emerge gnumeric

After many hours of compiling both applications installed fine.

Abiword has two problems that were detected upon first use:

1. Exiting causes the application to crash. I.e. it does not exit cleanly.

2. Entering misspelled text gives an error message that no en dictionary
   is available.

1. Is this a gentoo only bug ? There's a bug on this on bugzilla.abisource.com
:
http://bugzilla.abisource.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3846 .

2. Did you install a dictionary for your language as the aspell build mentions
at the end ? In your case probably aspell-en .
