With my Palm Zire72 it was impossible to do an hotsync using a network connection. After some research I found that the current gpilotd listens on UDP/14237 instead of the port TCP/14238 that is used by modern palms In the gnome-pilot mailing list (http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-pilot-list/2004-November/msg00024.html) I found a patch made for the CVS version for making it work. I tried the patch, and after some tweaks and some little additions, made it compile and work with the gnome-pilot-2.0.12 ebuild. Attached you will find a modified ebuild and my modified patch Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

Switching assignment as none of us have the hardware. I've checked upstream and this bug hasn't been applied to CVS, so could the pda team please check and apply, or check and drop? Thanks.
I can confirm that this patch fixed the exact same problem with my Palm T|X. Thanks for the patch!
