nano is listed in profiles/default-darwin/macos/10.3/package.mask with the comment "masked until the save problem in fixed". The 'save problem' has been fixed for a while now - see http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60400 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Look at /usr/portage/profiles/default-darwin/macos/10.3/package.mask Actual Results: this file includes the line app-editors/nano Expected Results: Since the bug has been fixed, nano should not be masked on ppc-macos

Why can't it be taken out of packages.mask and left marked as unstable in the ebuild? Users on the forums have reported that the current nano is working and that the open bug has been fixed. Perhaps unmasking and leaving as unstable would give this version wider testing...
inCVS. Thanks for reporting!
