When booting from the 1.4 RC1 cd, you can't select a keyboard language.

it is not so trivial, 'cause you have to choose 
the right console font and the right 
keybord layout... 
 
Maybe we can make some "widely used" pairs 
of font+keyboard and let the user choose from it?
