After emerging xinetd, to get SWAT to work, I now get the following when
doing emerge -u world:

>emerge: all ebuilds that could satisfy ">=sys-apps/tcp-wrappers-7.6-r4" (from 
>ebuild / sys-apps/xinetd-2.3.7 merge) have been masked.

aliz: sending your way since you bumped the -r2 requirement to -r4 ... figured 
you'd know more about the situation than i ;)

#only needed by xinetd, and it's out.  So tcp-wrappers is out too

Unless the users is supposed to do some mojo, this bug is very much still 
active.

Ok, I'm a gentoo newbie, but anyway;

emerge rsync
emerge -p xinetd

emerge: all ebuilds that could satisfy ">=sys-apps/tcp-wrappers-7.6-r4" (from 
ebuild / sys-apps/xinetd-2.3.7 merge) have been masked.

What is your architecture?  Please paste the output of 'emerge -s
tcp-wrappers'.
