In 2.60-r10, configure options were changed upstream from md5suth to md5auth. From the changelog: ssmtp (2.60.10) unstable; urgency=low ... Created an attachment (id=50923) [details] patch for ebuild Patch compiles cleanly but functionality is not fully tested.
Difference during compilation is that gcc command lines include "-DMD5AUTH=1" after the patch is applied.
