During emerge xmlwrapp I get the following error:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge xmlwrapp

Actual Results:  
xmlwrapp does not build

Expected Results:  
It should build smoothly

When the call is changed to

CXX=g++ emerge xmlwrapp

the build runs without problems. But this should not be necessary. 
The builds system should take care of the required settings.
