Description:   Opened: 2005-01-23 09:28 0000 
When I try to emerge alsa-utils-1.0.8 I get an error message which complains
about missing symbols.  Since the ebuild shows a dependancy on alsa-lib-1.0.3
the now updated alsa-lib-1.0.8 will not be pulled before building this package.


Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge alsa-utils
2. error messages about missing symbols


Actual Results:  
alsa-utils did not build

Expected Results:  
Build alsa-utils

DEPEND=">=sys-libs/ncurses-5.1
        dev-util/dialog
        >=media-libs/alsa-lib-1.0.3"

Should be >=media-libs/alsa-lib-1.0.8 most likely.  After emerging alsa-lib
first (it was AFTER alsa-utils in the update list), the ebuild worked.
