Description:   Opened: 2004-12-05 08:39 0000
It compiles with opengl enabled, but then the game doesn't run.
When I try to run the game I get:
BUILDSDL/GL: Failed to load OpenGL library!
BUILDSDL/GL: Try setting environment variable BUILD_SDLDEBUG for more info.

and when I run it with "BUILD_SDLDEBUG=- duke3d" I get:
BUILDSDL/GL: Trying to open library "[default]"...
BUILDSDL/GL: Library opening failed; [Could not load OpenGL library].
BUILDSDL/GL: Out of ideas. Giving up.
BUILDSDL/GL: Failed to load OpenGL library!

Another thing... If I compile it with USE=-opengl and I try to run it I get:
griever@cloud griever $ duke3d
                   Duke Nukem 3D v1.4 - Atomic Edition

Multiple Configuration Files Encountered
========================================
Please choose a configuration file from the following list by pressing its
corresponding letter:
a. DUKE3D.CFG <DEFAULT>
b. network.cfg

(duke3d.cfg will be used if no selection is made within 10 seconds.)

0 seconds left.

Using Setup file: '/home/griever/.duke3d/duke3d.cfg'
ReadSetup: /home/griever/.duke3d/duke3d.cfg does not exist
           Please run SETUP.EXE

That 0 seconds left is actually a countdown. Pressing a or b doesn't have any effect. After the countdown is finished the game tries to read the ".duke3d/duke3d.cfg" file from my home directory. Isn't it supposed to read the /usr/share/games/duke3d/DUKE3D.CFG which is actually a symlink to /etc/games/duke3d.cfg?

Reproducible: Always

It's not fixed .... that's why I opened a new bug since it was a different
problem than the other bug. It now copiles without opengl and it runs but has
some issues and, even though it compiles with opengl support, it doesn't run.

Can you provide an strace of it being run please?

------- Comment #4 From Alexandru Toma 2005-02-10 02:51:59 0000 -------
Since I have posted this, I have upgraded my nvidia drivers and SDL library and
the game seems to work just fine now... So I'm closing this.
