bump bump!
Available version is now 1.0.1
Copying firestarter-0.9.3.ebuild to firestarter-1.0.1.ebuild and emerging it also works perfectly...
Created attachment 46003 [details] ebuild for firestarter 1.0.1 Here is an ebuild I threw together for the 1.0.1 release of firestarter. It should work but it has one issue that needs some help. I kept getting sandbox access violations when it tried to install the gconf schemas. I got around this by disabling the schema install during 'make install' and then installed them in pkg_postinst. I know this is not a good solution but it was a quick fix. Any ideas on how to fix this would be apprecaited! I also added some support for multiple external interfaces by hooking into the net postup and postdown functions. It works great on my laptop combined with the netapplet utility. emerge info: for sandbox violation help Portage 2.0.51-r3 (default-linux/x86/2004.3, gcc-3.3.4, glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r1, 2.6.9 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.9 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.60GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.4.16 Autoconf: sys-devel/autoconf-2.59-r5 Automake: sys-devel/automake-1.8.5-r1 Binutils: sys-devel/binutils-2.15.90.0.1.1-r3 Headers: sys-kernel/linux26-headers-2.6.8.1-r1 Libtools: sys-devel/libtool-1.5.2-r7 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-mcpu=pentium3 -O2 -pipe" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/mozilla/defaults/pref /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-mcpu=pentium3 -O2 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs autoconfig ccache distlocks fixpackages sandbox sfperms" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.osuosl.org http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="X alsa apm avi berkdb bitmap-fonts cdr crypt cups dbus dvd eds encode esd f77 fam flac foomaticdb fortran gdbm gif gnome gnomedb gphoto2 gpm gstreamer gtk gtk2 gtkhtml hal imagemagick imlib java jpeg kerberos ldap libg++ libgda libwww mad mikmod mmx motif mozilla mpeg ncurses nls oggvorbis opengl oss pam pdflib perl png python quicktime readline samba sdl slang spell sse ssl svga tcltk tcpd tiff truetype x86 xml2 xv zlib"
Created attachment 46266 [details, diff] patch to allow a USR1 signal to update the status information I added support to firestarter to handle a USR1 signal to trigger an update the status information. I then tied this into my /etc/conf.d/net functions to show an immeadiate update in the task tray after changing network devices. The new ebuild that supports this will follow...
Created attachment 46267 [details] new ebuild script this is the new ebuild to accompany the USR1 patch.
I renamed it too and it works!
Hi! Why this ebuild is not included to ebuild tree? Kwant!
Hi, sorry for the fuss, but why still there isn't a version bump for firestarter?
I tried this ebuild and I'm not able to start firestarter : I've got this messag : " A proper configuration for Firestarter was not found. If you aure running Firestarter from the directory you built it in, run 'make install-data-local' to install a configuration, or simply 'make install' to install the whole program. firestarter will now close." I've got the same probleme with firestarter-0.9.3 but firestarter-0.9.2 works.
