Description:   Opened: 2004-10-10 23:26 0000
Every time I try to start firefox 1.0-r2 (or 1.0-r1 I have tried both) it
chrashes with a segfault. If I compile firefox with debug the last line it
put's out before a stack trace is:
Assertion failure: dummy1addr < &dummy2, at jsapi.c:1790
prefious to this it has given several lines of the form:
WARNING: NS_ENSURE_TRUE(NS_SUCCEEDED(rv)) failed ....

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge firefox
2. run firefox
3.

Actual Results:
firfox starts to start then segfaults.

Expected Results:
Firefox starting up showing a firefox window.

Emerge info:

------- Comment #1 From Lars Weiler (RETIRED) 2004-10-31 19:34:37 0000 -------
Could you look, if you have the same problems like in bug 67021?

------- Comment #2 From Hargobind Khalsa 2004-11-05 11:35:03 0000 -------
No I don't think the problem is the same as 67021. First of all it segfaults
before anything visable happens. Second no message other than the one reporting
the seg fault is shown. Finaly, it has been too long since I last tryed but I
seem to rember trying it with the flag to use GTK2, it is posible that I
diceded against that option because it wanted to emerge something but I don't
think thats the case.

Thanks for the response,
        Hargobind

------- Comment #3 From Aron Griffis (RETIRED) 2004-11-14 18:25:44 0000 -------
Your report references firefox-1.0-r2 and -r1; I can only assume that you meant
1.0_rc1 and 1.0_rc2 based on the date you filed this bug.

Hopefully it's fixed in 1.0-r2. Please re-open if you can still reproduce the
problem.

------- Comment #4 From Markus Rothe 2004-12-18 11:58:49 0000 -------
this was a ppc and not ppc64 bug...
