This is my ebuild for feh-1.2.7, based on the latest one found in portage.

Compilation of feh-1.2.7 requires that the header file jpegint.h (from
media-libs/jpeg) be installed, which is not currently done.

Bug #64254 requests that it be installed.

a patched version. doesn't need jpegint.h.

depends on >=media-libs/giblib-1.2.2 and virtual/x11.
i tested 1.2.6. and 1.2.7 - both work with freetype-2 (see bugs #22174 and
#47310) freetype is a dependency of giblib.

i'll buy a '4' and give a '2' (giblib-1.2.4 not 1.2.2 is required - typo in
comment #3) and i'd like to add freetype and libpng to DEPEND.
I don't need gtk+.

1.2.9 is now in portage

the DEPEND is now:
DEPEND=">=media-libs/giblib-1.2.4
    >=media-libs/imlib2-1.0.0
    >=media-libs/jpeg-6b-r4
    virtual/x11"

Two Comments:
- Patch from comment #3 is included in 1.2.9. So feh is another app that *doesn't* need to include jpegint.h. jpegint.h says:
 * These declarations are considered internal to the JPEG library; most                 
 * applications using the library shouldn't need to include this file.
- prepalldocs?
- libpng is another dependency (src/Makefile.am) as well as zlib.
