kdemultimedia-3.3.0 is now stable on ppc and it depends on tunepimp, which is ~ppc. bash-2.05b# emerge -uDvp world These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating world dependencies / !!! all ebuilds that could satisfy "media-libs/tunepimp" have been masked. !!! possible candidates are: - media-libs/tunepimp-0.3.0 (masked by: ~keyword) !!! (dependency required by "kde-base/kdemultimedia-3.3.0" [ebuild]) !!! Problem with ebuild kde-base/kde-3.3.0 !!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem. !!! Depgraph creation failed.
I got that too, now. When kde3.3.0 made it into ppc stable and I tried to emerge it, I didn't encounter that problem. So tunepimp as been reverted from ppc to ~ppc in a space of 24 hours. Also I wonder how kde3.3 made it into ppc since some bugs are still unsolved (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62459) and kde3.3.0 won't compile. I personnally would have made that bug a blocker as it prevent emerge to build a dependency tree if you have kde, that's a nasty breakage.

fixed in cvs.
