WORKING ebuild for flightgear-0.9.5

I had to change the ebuild to move the data package into the fgfs dir after
extraction...

works for me now...

The simgear site says that the requirements for simgear are plib > 1.8.0 and openal and does not mention metakit and glut. Is there a reason the ebuild still has metakit and glut as dependencies? I'm asking because I'm trying to learn!

Thanks.

checking for library containing gluLookAt... -lGLU
checking for library containing alGenBuffers... -lopenal

^^^ from the configure script, Brett
Comment 6 Brett I. Holcomb 2004-08-09 14:40:03 UTC
Thanks. I checked with the FG mail list and foudn glut is still needed. I hadn't thought of checking the config script - learned something new!

Thanks.

Alonso, I'm getting a startup error with your ebuild:

trinity sephora $ fgfs ~

Base package check failed ... Found version [none] at: /usr/share/games/FlightGear
Please upgrade to version: 0.9.5

do:
ln -s /usr/share/FlightGear /usr/games/lib/FlightGear

I had played with CVS-Versions of FlightGear, and therefore already had that link before, so didn't notice emerge installed the data package into another directory than it did with 0.94

ahhh f***
I meant `ln -s /usr/games/lib/FlightGear /usr/share/games/FlightGear`
