Description Dale K Dicks 2004-07-01 12:19:02 UTC
Whenever any app that uses Xine is run (gxine, xine-ui, rhythmbox, etc), the following error occurs and then the app stops (i.e. won't complete loading).

Inconsistency detected by ld.so: ../sysdeps/generic/dl-tls.c: 72: _dl_next_tls_modid: Assertion `result <= _rtld_local._dl_tls_max_dtv_idx' failed!

This is also happening qith Quark, but not "play" or XMMS

Comment 2 Dale K Dicks 2004-07-04 12:50:22 UTC
this problem is caused by linux-headers-2.6.7 and linux-headers-2.6.7-r1

emerging linux-headers-2.6.6-r1 resolved the problem

may want to have the maintainer for linux-headers look into this

Comment 3 Ed Catmur 2004-12-17 20:55:30 UTC
Nvidia binary drivers? Probable duplicate of bug 52374.
Comment 4 Jan Brinkmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-28 08:46:56 UTC
marking this as a duplicate because there are more comments on the other bug
