there's no lirc patch for gentoo-dev-sources 2.6.7 so we can't use our remote controler. Can someone update or rebuilt a patch? thabks a lot

I too am seriously missing lirc in 2.6.7.  If it's not hurting anything, I'd really like to see that added back to the standard patchset.

lirc will not be added to the gentoo-dev-sources package again.

The upstream maintainer has refused to work with the kernel developers to get
the package into the mainline kernel.  Because of this, and the fact that the
patch keeps breaking things at times (build issues mostly), the patch has been
dropped.

If you want to have lirc kernel module support, please contribute a separate
package for it, as it is very easy to build kernel module packages now.
