Please fine an embuild for iozone attached. Iozone is a filesystem benchmarking tool that can be quite useful in comparing various filesystems and hardware. I've set KEYWORDS="~x86 ~ppc ~alpha ~sparc ~amd64" since it purports to build on all of those architecture (as well a host of other OSes). I have tested it on x86 and Alpha hardware. It's a benchmark, so apps-benchmark seems the obvious place for it. However, the filename is somewhat odd. The program is "iozone", and the version is "3.217". On the FTP site from which it comes, the filename is "iozone3_217.tar", which is somewhat annoying. The ebuild treats the program name as "iozone3", since that's simpler, and "iozone4" is unlikely to come around anytime soon.
Created an attachment (id=31224) [details] iozone ebuild This is the first crack at an ebuild for iozone.
A little bash magic and there's no problem with the name. Thanks for the ebuild. Arch testers request test please.
Works perfectly on ~ppc, keyworded.
