i've written an ebuild for eyeD3... it does id3v2 tags, whereas the id3-py (the only option in portage) doesn't.
Created an attachment (id=29863) [details] the goods
Created an attachment (id=29872) [details] fixed eyeD3 executable & optik issue...
Created an attachment (id=30132) [details] Enabled optik dependency, other fixes I updated the eyeD3 ebuild to have the mandatory IUSE tag as well as enabling the use of optik. I also moved the python dependency back to 2.2. Everything still seems to work under 2.2. Interestingly enough, I was just in the process of writting my own eyeD3 ebuild (and didn't even notice the 0.6rc release) :)
that sed command should be fine even for 2.2.... the thing is, i run 2.3, so optik is completely unnecessary... there should be a conditional dependency for optik on which python you have as your environment...
Created an attachment (id=38530) [details] ebuild for eyeD3 0.6.2 Hello, I'm the maintainer of eyeD3 (and a gentoo user too :)) and whipped up an ebuild, only to find that this one already exists. Nonetheless, I'm going to throw mine into the ring because it works with the new version 0.6.2 and is much more complete (eyeD3 has a man page now). I'm attaching the ebuild here, but it can also be found here: http://eyed3.nicfit.net/releases/gentoo/eyed3-0.6.2.ebuild -travis
In portage.
