new ebuild request. from their website, it seems that it has been split a little into two packages, and so won't build using this ebuild.
low priority unstable
and mergent is hard masked afaik
Due to the huge demand for a fix for this I have spent some time upgrading ebuilds in overlay to at least get mergeant compiled and installed. For some reason it doesn't seem to support mysql databases (or many other for that matter), probably a build-time config problem with one of the deps. I'm only uploading this so that I don't lose it, but if someone happens to fix things I won't mind. ;) Also, I moved the libs back into /usr/lib/ as mergeant now creates a libmergeant.so.x - is there a better technique to this?
Created an attachment (id=30624) [details] ebuilds etc...
Looks like mergeant's just been updated to 0.52. I'm willing to run ebuild tests for anyone who'll make the ebuilds. Tom, I recently tried your ebuilds after renaming the libgda/libgnomedb to 1.14 (or actually now they should be 1.16), but they wouldn't compile. The libgda failed on one of the postgres files, being unable to locate libpq-fs.h. I found two versions of this, one in /usr/include/postgresql/pgsql/libpq and the other in /usr/include/postgresql/server/libpq. Unfortunately I don't know how to fix the problem, but I'll be willing to test any fixes other people may produce. Hope this helps, can't wait to see a useable access-a-like on linux... Mike 5:)
Is this ebuild dead? I see that there is a ebuild out for mergeant-0.12.1 but it just fails on my machine complaining about the digest and manifest. It doesnt get fixed by running ebuild mergeant-0.12.1.ebuild digest either. What about 0.52? and developments? --- No package manifest found: /usr/local/portage/dev-db/mergeant/Manifest !!! No package digest file found: /usr/local/portage/dev-db/mergeant/files/digest-mergeant-0.12.1 !!! Type "ebuild foo.ebuild digest" to generate it.
Thanks for your help. An ebuild for version 0.52 is now in the tree, but the package is still hard-masked.
