Pretty much summed up in the forum link, but xscreensaver's GLsnake screensaver has some "work/family unfriendly" content. Specifically it forms a child's toy into a flaccid penis, erect penis, vagina, and then just a Penis. I suggest adding a patch to patch glsnake.c to remove the models for flaccid penis, erect penis, vagina, and Penis unless you specify the "offensive" USE flag in your make.conf. Censorship issues were briefly discussed in the forum post, but everyone seems ok with this patch.

Maybe instead of removing the offensive parts, just remove the text that describes them rather. It's probably much more easy and doesn't require a huge patch that needs to be tested at each release.
In reply to what Svein Erik Brostigen said there is already an option to turn the text off which perhaps renders this bug redundant although removing the objects entirely through a USE flag is perhaps more desirable
Actually on checking my last remark is wrong although the option is listed in xscreensaver-demo it doesn't work.
Edit: my last remark was wrong you can turn off text - I was just using an old version :)
I don't see how turning off the text resolves the issue that the screen saver makes peni (is that the correct of penis?). I mean it's pretty hard to mistake the flaccid one.
i'm adding this to xscreensaver-4.16. before people start screaming murder and censorship, i'm going to explain my reasoning. firstly, i think we should give a choice to people to enable and disable these screensavers. they currently can do it manually either by modifying the source or not running it all. so the only controversy here is the grouping and the default. i don't have a problem with grouping those screensavers as offensive because they clearly can be disturbing to people, as described by Geders. i personally don't have a problem with those screensavers, but i'm going to disable them by default. if people feel strongly about those screensavers being a part of their daily life, then they can add the "offensive" USE flag.
