I have an rsync server accessible via both IPv4 and IPv6 that I would be happy to allow public access to as a contribution to the Gentoo project. If any more servers are needed, here's the pertinant information: Hostname: gentoo.llarian.net (v4 & v6) IPv4 Address: 209.221.142.124 IPv6 Address: 2001:470:1f01:164::4 Available bandwidth: 100Mbps (Server NIC limited) Admin Contact: Dylan Vanderhoof <llarian@llarian.net> Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
thanks for the submission. at present, our DNS rotation for the US is fill and cant add anymore rsync servers on. but we will keep your offer on file. thanks!
I noticed that you seem to be accepting portage mirrors into the us rotation again, so I figured I'd re-open this bug request for consideration.
209.221.142.124 has been given access to rsync1.us.gentoo.org. Please set your rsync mirror to sync from there from now on. I will monitor it over the next couple days and add it into rotation once everyhing looks good. Thanks for helping out! Cheers, Jeffrey
Done
Your mirror has been added as rsync27.us.gentoo.org and into the rsync.us.gentoo.org rotation. Thanks for helping out! Cheers, Jeffrey
