Description Andrew Walker 2011-03-11 14:00:29 UTC
I've just upgraded to gerbv-2.5.0 and whilst it displays the rendered image of a gerber file correctly on the screen, the print preview and subsequent print out are badly corrupted. I've reverted to 2.4.0 and fault goes away.
I'm running ~x86_64
Comment 1 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-03-15 17:20:50 UTC
Please paste your `emerge --info' output in a comment.
Comment 2 Thomas Beierlein gentoo-dev 2011-03-25 12:09:29 UTC
As I can not reproduce that in stable amd64 chroot, please give some more informations as jer told you in comment #1. 'emerge --info' would be fine for a start.
Comment 3 Andrew Walker 2011-03-29 15:50:02 UTC
Apologies, fault doesn't appear to be with gerbv, I've re-emerged 2.5.0 and all seems well now. Maybe the bug was in the package that handles the printing and it's been cured by an upgrade. Here's my emerge --info in case it rears it's head again and sorry it took so long to respond, my job rather depends on gerbv!
Thanks.

Thanks for information Andrew.

I am closing the bug. Feel free to reopen if the problem reappears.

Test gerber file

This gerber file renders and prints ok in gerbv-2.4.0 but not in gerbv-2.5.0
The error also occurs when exporting as an svg and also appears to loose the text when doing so in 2.5.0 for some reason. Please note that it looks ok on the screen, it's when you do a print preview or actually print the file that it displays wrong.
Comment 6 Andrew Walker 2011-03-30 16:04:44 UTC
Sorry, this bug is back! I've added an example gerber file just in case it's specific to certain files.

Thanks for providing the example. I see what you mean.

Please report the bug upstream. There seems to be more problems with rendering in the 2.5.0 version.
Comment 8 Andrew Walker 2011-03-31 22:29:18 UTC
Reported to developers, bug already identified and fixed in git. I'll mark this resolved now.
Thanks for all your help.
