Hi, I think this game deserves a little attention... :-) Taking a quick look at the build process, creating the ebuild should be really easy... netPanzer is an online multiplayer tactical warfare game designed for play across the Internet and over LAN systems. One on one games are possible via direct connect or modem. netPanzer is designed for FAST ACTION combat -- it is not another resource management clone. In fact, there aren't any resources at all. Each player will have many units of different types at their disposal. Players can fight until their units are destroyed -- then respawn and keep on going. The game is real-time, but it's based on quick tactical action and unit management. Battles progress quickly and constantly; in fact, they never let up. There is no stop in the action because there is no waiting for resources to be collected and converted into weaponry. Players can join or leave multiplayer games at any time. Radek
Created an attachment (id=19332) [details] netpanzer-0.1.1.ebuild This is my preliminary ebuild. It's messed up right now since I don't understand the ./configure path hell :-(. It compiles fine but during the install part, it complaints about sandbox path violation. I'm unable to force my own paths... Anyway, it has all the other things (SRC_URI, HOMEPAGE, LICENSE, DEPEND, RDEPEND, ...) done so I think it will be a question of minutes for someone skilled to take a look at the ebuild and finish it... Looking forward to see this cool game in portage soon... Thanks... Radek
Created an attachment (id=19559) [details] improved netpanzer ebuild I just fixed the ebuild. Should work correctly now.
Use text/plain for ebuilds, please... Thanks for the ebuild anyway, I'll take a look ASAP... Radek
The new ebuild works perfectly for me. Thanks for this great job. Now, it's ready for portage tree (my suggestion is games-strategy)... Radek
Added to CVS marked ~x86. It seems a little fragile to me so maybe marking it stable is a little premature yet. Thanks for the ebuild Matze. I only tweaked it a little bit before adding it. Enjoy.
