backport of patch to fix transmit hangs on 5906

This was not straight forward to backport, so I'm not sure what kind of success you will have.  This patches against gentoo-sources-2.6.32-r3. If you like, you can apply this patch and let us know the outcome.

I do not have the hardware, so I don't know what the result will be. It does compile.

Hi,


This patch breaks firmware loading for me. Interface can be configured, but setting interface up (ip link set eth0 up) fails and triggers this message :
Feb 10 08:28:39 dagobah kernel: tg3: tg3_load_firmware_cpu: Trying to load TX cpu firmware on eth0 which is 5705.

Relevant broadcom model : 04:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5754 Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express (rev 02)


Reverting this patch fixes the issue
