After switching from nvidia-kernel-1.0.4363-r3 to 4496-r3, video input from rivatv (displayed with xawtv) freezes erratically (image stands) and can only be put back to motion by resizing the xawtv window (which leads to rivatv: stopping overlay rivatv: stopping video capture rivatv: starting video capture rivatv: starting overlay: 384x288 at (697,214) in syslog, ie. a restart of the overlay). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Upgrade to nvidia-kernel-1.0.4496 2. emerge rivatv 3. Use xawtv and wait for up to a minute for the freeze. Both rivatv 0.8.2 and 0.8.3 have been tested with this.
Please verify this bug still exists in newer versions of the code. If the problem percists please test if the code works when built by hand and report back here if it does. If your bug is present in the manually built code then please submit a bug directly to the rivatv project per their instructions on http://rivatv.sourceforge.net.... If this is a bug with the ebuild please re-open this bug.
