does 185 build with 2.6.31 ?  i know 190 does ...

185.18.36-r1 builds fine here on 2.6.31-r5 on x86

This also works well for me. built on kernel 2.6.31-r5 with stable version
xorg.

Still having issues with this version using vdpau.

I retract my previous comment, vdpau is up and operational after a little
tweaking.  Seems to be working well for me on 2.6.29 x86

amd64:
runs fine here (for the last 90min). KDE with all effects activated, kernel
gentoo-sources-2.6.30-r5, GeForce 9500 GT
vdpau works also fine with mplayer, no problems

At this point might as well stabilize the -r1 version which uses the already
stabilized x11-libs/libvdpau
