Description Daniel Robbins (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-08-29 06:14:57 UTC
"unresolved symbol" messages result. According to this bug report:
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=644751&group_id=44773&atid=440822,
the cvs version of the emu10k1 appears to have (limited?) audigy 2 support. We
also don't appear to have audigy 2 support in the standard kernel or alsa, so
cc'ing pfeifer on this.
Comment 1 Daniel Robbins (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-08-29 06:17:44 UTC
Note: we don't appear to be using a cvs version of emu10k1, just to clarify.
Comment 2 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2003-08-29 08:06:48 UTC
i thought that was the point of the emu10k1-cvs ebuild ...
Comment 3 Jay Pfeifer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-08-30 00:53:06 UTC
alsa supports this card (basic functions) in Gentoo. Info here:
http://www.linuxlogin.com/linux/emu10k2.php

I have also looked @ some code in the 2.6.0test stuff and am looking @ a
backport for 2.4. Look to this bug for updates since I will need persons with
the hardware to test.

I can confirm that emu10k1-cvs works on the audigy 2. Closing bug.
