@maintainer: metadata.xml lists the herd email address under <maintainer> which is not correct according to http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=2&chap=4 .
As can be seen in the duplicate bug 214154, this issue was fixed about a year ago. You shouldn't be having this problem. Make sure your portage tree is up to date. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 214154 ***
Well, see the timestamp of tree line in my emerge --info output: Sat, 09 May 2009 13:15:02 +0000 I'd say that's slightly newer than a year.

Ah yes, sorry, I overlooked the timestamp. I was still on my first coffee... Actually, this is a regression on the duplicate bug, as the developer who recently migrated the ebuild to use EAPI-2 made some mistakes. Fixed in CVS now. Thanks for reporting!
