Newer intel video cards require at least the 2.4.x video drivers. The 2.4.3
drivers work well with the latest stable xorg-server and mesa. These drivers
need libdrm-2.3.0, which is also currently ~arch.

I didn't see any issues with either package version in bugzilla.

Reproducible: Always

It's not that simple but we'll get there. :)

In any case, no newer version of the intel driver will go stable without at
least xorg-server 1.5.3-r1, updating blockers accordingly.

Thanks

I didn't realise this at the time, but when I emerged xf86-video-intel-2.4.3
and libdrm-2.3.0 I didn't have any 3d acceleration, and instead received an
error. I'm marking this bug as invalid.

I just performed the upgrade to xorg-server-1.5 / xorg-x11-7.4 and it looks
like it actually needs the xf86-video-intel-2.5.x drivers. Older versions
would not compile for me.
