Please consider adding IT8720 sensor support to gentoo-sources-2.6.27*.

Works great (but requires lm_sensors-3.0.3).

Might also want this, though not strictly necessary.

Thanks. :)

Our policy is to only add backports from Linus' development tree.[1] Let's both
keep an eye on this to see when it gets committed.

Mike, I think -next patches are OK. They will be pushed upstream in the next
cycle. You could also confirm that it's in the I2C development tree, which is
as good as upstream in most cases.

That's good news for users. Let's update our policies and I'll work on the
patch.

------- Comment #4 From Mike Pagano 2008-11-17 17:26:39 0000 -------
Patch included in gentoo-sources-2.6.27-r3 which is now in portage.

------- Comment #5 From Daniel Drake 2008-12-14 13:30:48 0000 -------
Mike, just a quick note: it's not safe to combine 2 patches in the same file
like you did here. The 2nd part will not be applied, and it confuses tools like
quilt. I've split them now.
