Description:   Opened: 2008-10-28 07:22 0000
Every time you try to load an image for use (using glTexImage2d()) it fails
with an Invalid Enumerant error. This extends to the bundled tutorials.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run /usr/lib64/python-2.5/site-packages/OpenGL/Demo/NeHe/lesson6.py
Actual Results:
Fails with invalid enumerant error. Doesn't bind.

Expected Results:
Bound the texture without error.

I have reproduced this on someone else's machine.

Thanks.

------- Comment #5 From Denilson 2009-04-06 01:49:11 0000 -------
I can confirm this issue with (stable) dev-python/pyopengl-2.0.0.44 on a stable
amd64 machine.

I think this issue is related to bug 239392 and to bug 202921.

I've also stumbled on this issue while trying to run Frets on Fire through the
sources:
http://fretsonfire.wikidot.com/compatibility-table

Updating to unstable dev-python/pyopengl-3.0.0_beta8 fixes this issue for me
(as mentioned at the third comment from bug 202921).

So, the solution for all these bugs is to stabilize pyopengl-3.x. I propose
opening a bug for its stabilization and adding bug 239392, bug 202921 and bug
170490 as dependencies.

Please test with dev-python/pyopengl-3.0.0.

dev-python/pyopengl-3.0.0 works (as well as 3.0.0_beta8) works for me (while
2.x versions didn't).
I guess the bug was somehow related to swig (maye bug in swig, maybe bug in
pyopengl). Since 3.x versions use ctypes instead of swig, this bug disappeared.
