Description Narada Sage 2003-07-01 09:13:10 UTC
Hello

The mozilla global and local use flags have either no descriptions at all or
very uninformative descriptions. As a result, I have compiled some metadata for
them that can be incorporated into /usr/portage/profiles/use.local.desc and
/usr/portage/profiles/use.desc immediately. Please do however go through them
and check that they are correct first and provide feedback if necessary

-- mozaccess - Enable accessibility support;
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/ui/accessibility/

-- mozcalendar - Enable building of the calendar client;
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/
(disabled in ebuild itself; deps are swig and libical-moz)

-- mozilla - Enable mozilla support in other applications such as Evolution

-- mozinterfaceinfo - http://www.mozilla.org/scriptable/interface-plans.html

-- moznocompose - Disable building of composer & mail client

-- moznoirc - Disables internet relay chat client

-- moznomail - Disable building of mail & news components

-- moznoxft - Disable xft support

-- mozp3p - Enable Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P) support ;
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/p3p/

-- mozsvg - Enable Scalable Vector Graphics support;
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/svg/

-- mozxmlterm - XML enabled Terminal Client for Mozilla

Questions about these use flags have been asked many times in the user community
and hopefully this will provide adequate explanation. Many thanks.

Any luck on getting these into use.desc or use.local.desc? This should be fairly quick and easy.
