I'm following Gentoo's XFCE4 Guide[1] on a new install (amd64).  X starts TWM
just fine; everything else works very well.  While running `emerge xfce4`, one
of the packages (x11-libs/vte) bombs out.  Looks like it might be related to a
nonexistant directory.  

Here's the error:
