There is a known issue with nethack 3.4.1 where RTLD_NEXT breaks.  Thanks to J.
Ali Harlow for posting a link to the attached diff on
rec.games.roguelike.nethack.  (Message ID: bd96fv$4e0$1@canard.ulcc.ac.uk). 
This patch fixes the problem.

Original error follows:
