Description:   Opened: 2008-05-25 17:48 0000
mplayer looks for linux/em8300.h during configure and returns error:
linux/em8300.h: No such file or directory.
So its looking for a file belonging to the dxr3 driver.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge media-video/em8300-modules gets media-video/em8300-modules-0.16.4-r1
2.emerge media-video/em8300-libraries gets media-video/em8300-libraries-0.16.4
3.emerge =mplayer-1.0_rc2_p26753-r1

Shows
Checking for NAS ... no
Checking for DXR2 ... no
Checking for DXR3/H+ ... no
Checking for IVTV TV-Out (pre linux-2.6.24) ... no

Actual Results:
dxr3 support is missing from mplayer

Expected Results:
mplayer supports the dxr3 card and works flawlessly.

equery belongs em8300 shows the file is not provided in the driver or
libraries.

The Xorg issue mentioned is not relevant. Thats another problem for me.
You don't need the hardware to reproduce this bug.

------- Comment #2 From Jeroen Roovers 2008-05-25 18:09:21 0000 -------
So should this be an enhancement like USE=dxr3? Also, the Summary doesn't
reflect this, but suggests that mplayer's configure ought to automagically
detect dxr3 header files (which it shouldn't).

------- Comment #3 From Steve Dibb 2008-05-25 20:05:55 0000 -------
Might as well add a dxr2 use flag at the same time.

------- Comment #4 From Steve Dibb 2008-05-26 00:53:23 0000 -------
Fixed in mplayer-1.0_rc2_p26753-r2
