I don't know if this is a bug, but...
in app-shells/bash-3.2_p17-r1 test for working mktime (by configure) was
successful,
in app-shells/bash-3.2_p33 it fails
A lot has changed since I emerged 3.2_p17-r1 (on 20071231-165456), among others
gcc to 4.3.0 and autoconf to 2.62.
Maybe it's not a bug, but still it's a strange change, so I'm reporting it.

It's a known problem not isolated to bash. See also bug #220040, comment #1.
